Safeguarding

Welfare Officer – Benjamin Woolley

Our Commitment

At Seoul City Warriors Football Academy, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where players can train, learn, and enjoy football free from harm, abuse, or discrimination.

Safeguarding is a shared responsibility across our academy, supported by clear procedures, trained staff, and open communication with parents and players.

Designated Welfare Officer

Our designated Welfare & Safeguarding Officer is Benjamin Woolley.

Benjamin oversees all safeguarding matters within the academy and acts as the primary point of contact for welfare-related concerns. He brings extensive experience in youth sport and safeguarding practices and ensures that appropriate standards are upheld across all programs.

Our Safeguarding Practices

  • We follow safeguarding procedures aligned with Korean child protection laws and recognised sports safeguarding standards.
  • All coaches and staff are required to act in the best interests of children at all times.
  • Coaches receive safeguarding training through external certifications and internal academy briefings.
  • Clear boundaries are maintained between coaches and players to ensure a safe and professional training environment.

Reporting a Concern

We encourage parents, players, and staff to speak up if they have any concerns regarding a child’s welfare or safety.

All concerns are taken seriously and handled confidentially and appropriately.

Safeguarding email: scw@seoul-sports.com

If a concern involves immediate risk, appropriate external authorities will be contacted in line with legal requirements.

Legal & Regulatory Alignment

Our safeguarding approach is informed by relevant laws and guidance in Korea, including:

  • Child Welfare Act (아동복지법)
  • National Sports Promotion Act (국민체육진흥법)
  • Enforcement Decree of the National Sports Promotion Act (국민체육진흥법 시행령)
  • KSPO – Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (국민체육진흥공단)
  • Ministry of Health & Welfare – Child Welfare Policy (보건복지부 아동복지정책)

Continuous Improvement

Seoul City Warriors Football Academy is committed to continuous improvement in safeguarding practices. We regularly review our policies to ensure we provide a safe, respectful, and positive environment for every child in our care.
